Christmas Gleaming

Christmas Gleaming

It's been ages since I last participated in a blog hop as we've moved recently and we've also been away saying hello to friends and family in New Zealand.

Here is the challenge we were given.

I haven't gotten around to buying Purple Posy yet so that wasn't going to be used.  I took a whole bag of gear home to NZ for a play with my friend Rachelle and we used the Christmas Gleaming stamp and just loved it.  So I thought I would get it out again to use for this challenge.  The colour we used at home was Purple Peacock and it looked stunning.  Still I love these colours, Merry Merlot and Sahara Sand together too.

I have fussy cut around four holly and berries.  I quite enjoy fussy cutting, it can be relaxing if you're not under the pump to get cards done quickly.  I used Dimensionals to lift up a couple of the holly leaves too.

I have run a piece of Sahara Sand through the Big Shot using the Subtle embossing folder.  I hope they never take this folder off the for sale list!  I have also used the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  The base cardstock is Merry Merlot.  The Braided Linen Trim was used for the bow in the top right.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the same set, actually all of it is from the one stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to get on with creating Christmas Cards!

Now let's hop on over to see what Julie Martin has in store for us
